Welcome! I’m a Creative Community Technologist with a rich background in multimedia, game design, visual effects, and photography. My journey has taken me from working at Nickelodeon and MTV Networks to academic pursuits at the University of Melbourne. My work focuses on blending technology with community, making it accessible and meaningful. Whether it’s developing digital systems or creating interactive visual experiences, I aim to empower artistic expression and foster connections across communities. Join me in exploring how technology can bring us closer as a global community.
A Creative Technologist is a professional who merges technology with creativity to bring innovative ideas to life. They use digital tools, programming, and emerging technologies to create interactive experiences, digital media, and artistic projects. Working across various industries, Creative Technologists collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to transform creative concepts into digital realities, pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve in the creative world.
As a Creative Technologist, my work encompasses a broad range of digital and artistic projects. For example, I co-founded Nickelodeon’s Digital Operations, where I led production content using tools like After Effects, Lightwave, and Maya. At the University of Melbourne, I directed the ‘Discovery’ project, creating a unique FileMaker Pro app that preserved Indigenous cultural practices. I’ve also developed multimedia classes for Art Life, a program for artists with intellectual disabilities. My recent work includes AI-generated video art, where I explore themes like nature’s evolution and sacred geometry using tools like Midjourney, RunwayML, and TensorPix. My focus is always on combining technology with creativity to push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of organizations. At Nickelodeon Animation Studio, I co-founded the Digital Operations department, leading content production and optimizing workflows for popular shows like SpongeBob SquarePants. Later, I was hired by the University of Melbourne, where I directed the ‘Discovery’ project, creating an innovative digital archive system for preserving Indigenous cultural practices. I also developed and taught multimedia classes for Art Life, a program supporting artists with intellectual disabilities. My work has spanned various industries, all united by a focus on blending technology with creativity to drive impactful projects.
